What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced RAY-Key) means "Universal Life Force Energy" and is a Japanses system of energy healing and relaxtion therapy. When applied it addresses the body, mind and spirit as a whole. It accelerates the body’s natural ability to heal physical ailments, release stress and anxiety, and open the mind and spirit to the causes of disease and pain. Essentially Reiki brings the body into balance so it can heal itself.
What to expect in a session:
Receiving Reiki is a simple process and can produce profound effects. The session begins with a client laying on a massage table, fully clothed, listening to gentle, soothing music, which helps to promote a state of deep relaxation. The Reiki practitioner will gently rest their hands upon you, non-intrusively, in a series of intuitive positions based on each client's personal needs.

About Ashley:
Ashley Burgess is an Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master with 10 years experience in the realm of energy healing. She specializes in healing grief and loss as well as integrating the body, mind, and spirit. Ashley is an Edgewalker in the Shamanic tradition, a student of Tantra, and a full initiate in the Inkan Munay-Ki Rites. She received her Avalonian priestess training under the tutelage of Jhenah Telyndru, Arch Priestess and Morgen of the Sisterhood of Avalon as well as several years of training with a North American shaman. In 2004 Ashley graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Theatre & Women’s Studies from Wheaton College and has dedicated her adult life to empowering young women through the realm of sacred dance and movement. Ashley is a proud member of the International Associate of Reiki Professionals (IARP).
